Dear Expectant Mother,
We are Jeremy and Kimberly from North Carolina. We are a young couple that loves to laugh, be outdoors, and just spend time together and with our families. We are very excited about adding to our family through adoption. You can be assured that your child will be our first priority and we will do everything in our power to give them love, support, and any opportunities that we can. Please know that you are in our prayers every night!
About Us;We met on a blind date, at a local mall and Jeremy’s first words to Kimberly were “Are you the one I am looking for?”, and since then we have been together every day. It wasn’t long into our relationship that we knew we would be together forever, and a little more than a year after we met we were married. Our marriage has been more than either of us could have hoped for. Both of us have come from homes with parents that are each other’s best friends and soul mates, so it was easy to recognize that in each other. We are each others best friends and we like to spend time doing most things together. We both like to travel and have been on trips to Michigan, Mexico, the Caribbean, and to the beach several times. We take little side trips when we can. It doesn’t have to be anywhere exotic we just like to see new places and learn new things. We also like archery and have taken up the hobby of target shooting in our side yard. Using a bow and arrow is a fun and challenging way to spend time outside together. We cannot wait to share this interest with a child. Kimberly had never tried to use a bow until last year and she has become very good at hitting the target.
About Jeremy from my heart;Jeremy is going to be the best father a child could ask for. I know this because he has already been the best husband that a woman could ask for. He is my best friend and confidant. He has an amazing ability to attract children that are otherwise shy and quiet, and get them to play and be silly with him. Jeremy already talks about taking our children on adventures with him and teaching them all about his love of the outdoors. Jeremy cannot sit still and is always on the go. He loves to hike, fish, hunt and camp. Most of all Jeremy loves to be in the woods when the sun comes up and be witness to all that nature offers when most people are not even out of bed yet. He comes home to tell about all the squirrels and rabbits that he saw and how many deer he saw. He cannot wait to take our children with him to see things that some people will never have the chance to see. If they want to play sports or in a band he will be their biggest fan, attending all the games and performances and cheering them on in anything that they choose to do.
About Kimberly from my heart;Kimberly is the answer to many prayers for me; she is the best thing ever to enter my life. I waited for just the right person to marry, and she fits perfectly. Kimberly teaches school and loves children. There was no doubt having a child or several children would be a part of our lives together at some point. She will be a great mom and the amount of love she has inside waiting to be shared cannot be described. I know that she loves me more than anyone on earth ever has or ever will. I also know that the children we have will get this same love and devotion that we share with each other. Kimberly’s hobbies include scrap booking, reading and cooking. I know she cannot wait to have ‘little hands’ trying to help out in the kitchen or steal a cookie before dinner. Kimberly is passionate about being a wife and becoming a mother. She is the best wife in the world and I am looking so forward to seeing her be the best mother as well.
All About Cali May: Cali May is our first child. She was adopted last July through the wonderful blessing of adoption. We were able to be present at her birth and she has been with us since her 3rd day of life. Cali is a very bright child who seems to grow every day! We are the most blesed parents to have been given the chance to watch Cali May grow into her own little person! We don't want Cali to remain an only child, everyone deserves to have another sibling to talk about their parents with :) Cali is now a year old and is trying so hard to walk around the furniture. It is the most fun and exciting thing in our lives to chase this little girl around the living room.
Our families;Jeremy comes from a close family of which many live on the same road as we do. 80 years ago his great grandparents bought the land that his family still resides on. We all have our own homes and land but we are no more than several acres away from our close family. His family has a hobby farm where they raise goats and have three dogs. They cannot wait to see grandkids around the family farm, playing with the animals and just enjoying being outside in the warm North Carolina weather. When the weather cools down we will gather around at Maw-Maw and Papa’s for a campfire where we will roast hotdogs and marshmallows with the extended family. Kimberly is originally from Michigan, where she grew up with a very close- knit family. Kimberly has a strong bond with her parents who were high school sweethearts, and also with her Grandmother who helped to raise her. We make several trips north every year to visit our family in Michigan. It is a big deal and everyone comes to see us and we have family cookouts and get-togethers so that we see everyone. Not only do we travel to Michigan but our relatives make several trips every year to North Carolina. This past spring, ten people from Michigan came to the ocean for a week at Easter. Kimberly and her family talk nearly every day on the phone, and we have web cameras and will able to talk to Grandma and Grandpa over the computer, so they will be able to see their grandchildren grow daily.
Our House;We live in North Carolina. Our home is a ranch style that is less than 5 years old. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Our house has a huge family room with lots of room to relax and play as a family. Our back deck is perfect for cook outs with the family as well as a place for our family to eat just for fun. The yard we have is big and we cannot wait to shop for a swing set. We are also looking forward to playing games in the side yard, which is the perfect baseball field. On our first anniversary we planted a weeping cherry tree outside of the room that will be the nursery. We want to be able to rock our baby by the window and see the tree in full bloom. Our house is also the scene of most family gatherings. Kimberly likes to host all of the holidays and decorate the house for each occasion. Christmas is our favorite time of year and we always get the largest tree we can find to stand up in our living room. Last year the tree was 11 feet tall! Grandma and Grandpa from Michigan are also ”Christmas-Crazy” and cannot wait to add another stocking to their mantle.
Our Promise to you;We promise to raise your child in an environment of love, and complete acceptance. This adoption will never be a secret to your child, they will always know the special way that they were added to our family. If you would like to know us during your pregnancy we would also like that. In the future, we would love to share photos with you as your child grows to show you how happy and healthy your child is, and how blessed we would be to raise your child.
